My Teaching Philosophy’s Alignment with Scotland’s Curriculum for Excellence (CfE)
My teaching approach aligns closely with Scotland’s Curriculum for Excellence (CfE), which emphasizes developing the whole child and supporting pupils to become Successful Learners, Confident Individuals, Responsible Citizens, and Effective Contributors.
In my classroom practice, I focus on creating learning environments where students feel safe, engaged, and encouraged to explore new ideas. I believe strong relationships, clear expectations, and inclusive teaching practices help children build the confidence they need to grow as learners.
My experience supporting students with additional support needs (ASN), including autism and behavioural challenges, has shaped my approach to inclusive education. I design structured, differentiated lessons that allow all pupils to access learning and experience success.
“Christle has a remarkable ability to differentiate learning to meet each pupil’s unique needs, strengths, and developmental levels while ensuring every learner can engage meaningfully regardless of ability or background.”

I am particularly passionate about helping students develop strong literacy and numeracy foundations, as these skills empower learners to become independent thinkers and problem-solvers.
Through collaborative work with colleagues, support staff, and families, I strive to create a classroom culture that reflects the values of Curriculum for Excellence and supports every child in reaching their potential.

In practice, this includes:
- Creating inclusive classroom environments that support pupils with additional support needs (ASN)
- Designing differentiated lessons that support diverse learning styles
- Encouraging curiosity, creativity, and independent thinking
- Supporting pupils’ social and emotional development
- Building strong partnerships with families and school staff
